5th Grade Math / Science Teacher

My Bio

Hello, my name is Nicole Patterson.  I am so excited to start my first year at San Tan as a 5th grade math and science teacher.  I have taught many subjects and age groups over the years and have found joy in each of my positions.  However, science is my favorite.  I taught for 6 years in the Balsz School District in Phoenix followed by 5 years in Higley.

I was born in a western suburb of Chicago.  I moved to Arizona in 2001 to attend the college of education at ASU, Fork ‘em Devils!  After completing my Bachelors degree, I launched into a Masters program at NAU. It was during college that I met my husband who is a native Phoenician.  We made the decision to settle down and start our family here in the valley of the sun.  I have a daughter and a son that I have been fortunate enough to stay home with.  They too will be a part of the San Tan family this year.

Traveling to see my family in WI and IL is one thing I enjoy most in my free time.  The rest of my time is spent bike riding, swimming, reading, playing princesses, engaging in light saber battles and watching movies.  My favorite time of day is morning where I can quietly sip on my cup of coffee thinking about the blessings in my life before another wild day begins.

I am excited to begin this year as a Roadrunner!  You will learn from me and I will learn from you.  We will set goals, we will get dirty, we will get things wrong, we will respect one another. I promise to value you and your contributions to our classroom.  Lets get this party started!
