Suns Career Event for  High School Families

Our high school students have an awesome field trip opportunity available to them! On Friday, December 6th, our Roadrunners are invited to attend a Phoenix Suns Career event. At this event, they will learn about career opportunities within a sports organization and will get to meet Suns executives. Students who attend this field trip will also get 1 ticket to the Phoenix Suns game that evening! Please note that students will leave campus around 11:00am and will not return back to campus until 11:00pm; meaning, students will not come back to campus in between the career event and the game. If your student(s) would like to attend, please fill out the attached permission slip and return to the front office by November 29th.

ACE Program for Sophomores

The Counseling Department is pleased to announce that students can apply for a scholarship to attend Maricopa Community College for FREE while in high school! The ACE program is offered through all Maricopa Community Colleges and we are excited to be partnering with Chandler Gilbert Community College for this great opportunity!

The ACE PLUS (Achieving a College Education) Program is an early outreach, two-year scholarship-based, college preparation program for high school students. The mission of this program is to increase the success rate of first generation, under-represented, and financially dis-advantaged college bound students. ACE PLUS aids the students in their successful completion of high school and assists them with a smooth transition into higher education. Students can earn up to 21 college credits during the course of their junior and senior years. Any sophomores from local high schools may apply.

If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please stop by and see Mrs. Taylor in the counseling office.
