 In Branding

Hello Power Campus!

Today we hosted the PSAT on campus and we were on the road with our juniors and seniors for a college tour—this time to Grand Canyon University. Final preparations for Cultural Fair are underway and the Fall Play is nearing production. This week we are hosting our Winter Sports Parents Meeting on campus on Wednesday and will host a FAFSA night for senior parents on Thursday.

Reminder that Winter sports registration is open and high school winter sports practices start next week. In November, we will host two big events with Cultural Day on campus and the annual Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. More information to come! At the end of the month we will conduct our second MAP-test to make sure our students are on pace with their learning as we move into the holiday season.

Last week San Tan students made memories at the Gifted Science Camp in Payson and our senior athletes were recognized at their senior night events. Both the volleyball and football teams won their senior-night games this past Friday, and this week the football team plays in their final regular-season game at Arete Prep.  The Roadrunners are currently ranked #18 and the top-16 teams make the state tournament. Final rankings will be unveiled Saturday morning. Varsity volleyball wrapped up its season last night in a regional tournament game against Rancho Solano Prep. Although the team fell short, it was a hard-fought contest. Coach Revling and the girls showed great spirit and teamwork all season long, making it a memorable season for everyone involved.

Congratulations are in order for our very own Ms. Kovach who was a $500 recipient of the SRP and Arizona Cardinals Touchdowns for Teachers giveaway. Ms. Kovach was announced this week as a winner to receive $500 for classroom supplies. Well done, Ms. Kovach!

Golf Cart Needed

The Power Campus is in need of a golf cart to help move equipment/water for home games & practice to the fields. We will also use this golf cart to help elderly fans make the long walk from the gates to the fields for games. We would like one that has seats in the back but can flip down so equipment and water can be carried. If you would like to donate one or would like to find out more information how you can help the athletic department obtain a cart, please reach out to our Athletic Director Shawn Lytle slytle@santancs.com

FAFSA Night

Senior Parents, join us this Thursday, Oct. 28, for 30-minute FAFSA Workshop sessions in the Power Campus Student Union starting at 5:30, 6:00 & 6:30pm.  We will have an expert from GCU visiting to help answer any questions you may have about the FAFSA. Our goal is to have all of our seniors FAFSA’s complete and ready for early submission to ensure they receive the best deals in scholarships, grants and loans for college, university or trade school. Please bring your computer to this event.

Winter Sports Information Night

All parents with students playing a winter sport, please meet in the main gym Wednesday Night at 6pm where we will go over expectations for the winter season, talk with athletic director, Shawn Lytle, and break-out to meet your student-athlete’s coaches. Plan for 6-7pm for the event and come with any questions you may have for the coaches.
