Hello Power Campus!
Join me in our celebrations as we have some cool “first time ever” events happening on campus. On the athletics front… The San Tan Charter boys varsity basketball program earned the school’s first #1 ranking in Arizona since joining the AIA! Coach Crooms and the boys are an exciting and fun group to watch play. And for a senior class update, currently we have 38/83 seniors accepted to a 4-year university and over $1.68 Million earned in academic scholarships! These numbers set a new San Tan Charter School record for scholarships earned.
New family enrollment is moving quickly for the 2023-24 school year. The first families to enroll (or re-enroll) are being given FIRST PRIORITY for choosing 2023-24 electives, so be sure to complete your enrollment!

Love and Logic Classes
San Tan is proud to have all staff trained yearly in the 9 Essential Skills of Love & Logic! Larry and Kami Kerby, independent facilitators of Love and Logic Parenting Classes (and San Tan’s PreK-12 Love and Logic Trainers and Coaches) are offering two free introductory classes for our San Tan Community. The first class is coming up next Thursday, January 18th, at the Recker campus cafeteria from 8:45-9:45am and an evening class on Jan. 18th-the same day from 6:00-7:00pm.

Science Fair Volunteers
We Need Your Help! There are only three weeks until the Science Fair! We have over 200 projects going into this year’s fair, and we are in need of 60+ volunteers to help judge our projects. There is no experience necessary. Judging takes place on February 1st, from 4 to 5pm. The fair will open to the public at 5pm. Awards will be given on Friday the 4th at the STEM Festival.

Honk! Tickets
Performing Arts students are excited for the upcoming performances! Tickets are selling quickly for our winter theater production of, Honk! Tax Credit Giving
Thank you to all the families who made their generous donations over the holiday break! We are well on our way of reaching our goal of $100,000.00 at San Tan Charter. To continue with your gracious giving, please read below as there is still time to donate.

With your support, we can continue to provide the programs outlined below:
- Junior High and High School Culinary Arts: Restaurant quality cutlery, pots/pans, additional shelving, and supplies for the classroom
- Full-Day Kindergarten Scholarship
- Funding for the Library/Media Space
- Health Care Supplies
- Playground Equipment
In addition, our Montessori Preschool School gives out around $45,000.00 a year in scholarship to those families in need, we are able to offer these scholarships because of the Arizona School tax credit program. The best part is whatever you contribute, you will receive dollar for dollar back on your state taxes. So, if you give $100, you can deduct that $100 off what you owe in taxes. You do not have to have a child at the school to pledge, you must only be an AZ State resident paying AZ State taxes.

Spring Sports Sign-Ups
It is time to officially sign-up for Spring Sports! Offerings for junior high students include: girls/boys basketball and co-ed swim. Offerings for High School Sports are baseball, beach volleyball, boys volleyball, and co-ed golf.

Gifted Testing
Just two (2) days remaining… If you are interested in having your child tested for giftedness, please complete the digital Parent Request Form, along with the $50 Co-Pay, linked below. Gifted testing is will be offered in mid. February. (Once a child is identified as gifted, they do not need to retest).
- If your child is currently in a gifted class and identified as ‘provisional’ they will automatically be retested, you do not need to send in the recommendation form.
- Gifted Testing Requests are due no later than January 12th of 2023.
