Hello Power Campus!
What an awesome Homecoming last week on campus! Thank you for everyone’s participation and volunteering.
We are looking forward to more some more community events in the next few weeks! This Friday, Oct. 20, we start with football and cheer SENIOR NIGHT on campus as the #4 ranked Roadrunners play host to NFL YET Academy at 7pm.
Then, this Saturday, Oct. 21, we host our annual Electives Showcase in the gym!
Finally, on Oct. 31 on our half-day schedule, we host Cultural Fair on campus.
Electives Showcase
Join us this Saturday, Oct. 21, at 5:45pm in the gym with hors d’oeuvres from culinary. Electives performances from dance, music, art, foreign language classes and more starting at 6:46pm. Come see your students perform and show off all they’ve been learning this year! Tickets for the event can be purchase tickets in advance or at the door.
The cost for the event is $15.00 per adult, $5.00 per child 5 and under and $3.00 for any student with a San Tan Identification card. The theme this year for the showcase is “The Greatest Show in the East Valley” (a circus theme).

Cultural Fair
Cultural Fair is on the horizon and is a collaboration of our social studies and language arts classes! This project-based learning opportunity will be another opportunity for San Tan Charter students to “show us” what they’ve been learning. The high school fair will happen in the main building and the JH fair happens in the electives wing! Make sure to check in with your students to see how they are progressing on their projects!
National Honor Society
It is that time of year to recognize our San Tan Charter Scholars! If you child met the grade-point average threshold of 3.75 or above, parents and students received an invitation to apply! The application process had a deadline of Oct. 24 to submit their application. The induction ceremony will be November 20th at 6pm.
Winter Spirit Store
San Tan Charter has official opened its Winter spirit gear store. This site will be open and available until October 23rd . Thanks to our partner over at Buddy’s All-stars. We are starting this early in plans to have all gear arrive at the start of Winter season games! Get your spirit gear before the shop closes October 23rd!!!

Student Academic Expectations and Accountability
Everything related to school policy can be found in our student handbook. Please take the time to go over the handbook with your students. The handbook also includes our dress code policy.

Technology
School technology is limited to the use of Chromebooks. If your student is using a device that has not been approved, it may lead to invalidated work and our inability to protect your child from secured browsing. Please make sure that you have secured the proper device for our 1:1 technology policy on campus.
San Tan Charter utilizes student laptops to access curriculum for many of the classes at the Power Campus. Please be reminded there is a $250 annual lease for a school device and a $50 annual fee for registering a personal device. If families choose to bring their own device, please be sure your Chromebook is compatible with the network by using the Approved Technology List and please be mindful that all student owned Chromebooks will need to be secured on our Google Enterprise for Education.
