Hello Power Campus!
Here we are—the last edition of the Tauscher Times in 2021… Thank you for those families over the holidays who re-enrolled for next school year and helped with the Arizona Tax Credit donations for our schools. We have spent time over the holidays checking in with families about re-enrollment and have made some nice upgrades to the facilities over the break. We look forward to welcoming back our students on Monday, Jan. 3.
Please mark on your calendars our Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences happening on Tuesday and Wednesday once we return.

Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences
When: 1/4/22 (Tuesday) & 1/5/22 (Wednesday)
Where: Power Campus – Student Union

Conferences are organized in 90-minute blocks with the average conference time lasting 10 minutes. Please select the time block that is most convenient for your family, then select the teachers you would like to conference with before selecting “submit”.
Families will meet in the student union during their scheduled time block and wait for their teacher(s) to come and meet them for their appointment. This format allows families to move through all conferences with the least amount of wait time.
School Year 2022-23 Grade Level Trips
Thank you to those families who have signed up for our exciting trips for next school year! Please see the information below for beginning to plan for your student’s 8th grade and senior trips for next school year.
Current 7th Grade families Sign up now to your 8th grade trip to Belize: As we explained at the meeting, the deadline to enroll with the $200 scholarship is Thursday, December 23, 2021

Gifted Testing
If you are interested in having your child tested for giftedness, please complete the digital Parent Request Form, along with the $50 Co-Pay, linked below. Gifted testing is will be offered in mid. February. Once a child is identified as gifted, they do not need to retest. Gifted testing will begin in mid- February.
- If your child is currently in a gifted class and identified as ‘provisional’ they will automatically be retested, you do not need to send in the recommendation form. : -)
- Gifted Testing Requests are due no later than January 12th of 2022.

Athletics Family Pass
All High School games have a gate fee of $5 per adult and $3 per student/child. For your convenience, we will be offering Athletic Family Passes for the immediate and non-immediate families of our San Tan athletes. The options include $50 per season or $100 for the year. Tickets may be purchased for immediate family members (i.e., parents/guardians and siblings under 18). All other non-immediate family members (i.e., grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, etc.) are also welcome to purchase a family pass for entrance into the games. Technology
San Tan Charter utilizes student laptops at the Power Campus. Each student needs a laptop to access school testing, classroom curriculum and more. Parents have the option of leasing technology from the school or supplying your own technology from a list of approved devices is on the Parent Portal page. Please be reminded there is a $250 annual lease fee for the school’s technology and a $50 annual donation for registering your family’s personal device.
