Hello Power Campus!
Welcome to the week before the week before Winter Break! It has been reminiscent around here of a college “reading week” where classes are wrapping up business before finals week, conducting reviews and make-up MAP testing while pushing for final assignments to be turned in for grading. I have been impressed that San Tan Charter has not been one of the many schools mentioning the high number of students failing many of their classes. Our community continues its resilience and efforts to not settle for or accept excuses because of COVID. Our Roadrunner staff and students have continued working together to support students and I am proud of our work.
Enrollment at the Power Campus has been climbing over the past couple of weeks and if you haven’t seen it already on Facebook or in your email, the re-enrollment portal for school year 2021-22 is open.

Quarter 3 Attendance Survey
Please click on the link below to select your mode of attendance for Quarter 3. Starting in January, families continue to have the choice to attend In-Person five (5) days per week or stay Home-Based for (5) days per week. If you are not requesting a change, your student(s) will remain with their current attendance mode and you do not need to update the survey.
Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences
Once again, we will be offering families a choice between virtual or in-person conferences. Please choose a day, time and conference type that works best for you and your family by selecting the name of your teacher below. Winter conferences are not required but we welcome you to schedule a conference with your student’s teachers.
If you are planning to meet virtually, please check your email the morning of the conferences for a link to attend. Please plan to arrive on time and try to avoid entering the meet early.

Important Dates
Final assignments for Semester 1 grading are due to teachers by this Friday, Dec. 11! Also, remember that Semester 1 finals will be held on Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, Dec. 15. Friday, December 18 is a Half Day “A” Day and will lead us into Winter Break.
Picture Retakes and Senior Pictures
Mark your calendar for school picture retakes and Senior Pictures tomorrow on Wednesday, December 9. Seniors, please come dressed in your formal attire for your senior pictures. Contact Ms. Taylor at btaylor@santancs.com for more information.
Check your Students’ Grades
With the end of the semester nearing, we are encouraging all of our families to please use Infinite Campus Parent Portal to help monitor their students’ grades. If you are needing help with accessing the portal, please reach out to our registrar Mrs. Gray at cgray@santancs.com.
Student-Student Tutoring Service
San Tan Charter is offering FREE tutoring by the National Honor Society. These free sessions are held both virtually and in-person by request. If you are interested in setting up a tutoring service, please visit the NHS Tutoring Classroom to locate an available tutor. Students must be logged into their San Tan account to access the Tutoring Classroom.
Health Reminder
Thank you to all the families who have kept student(s) home if they are not feeling well and for continuing to support the mask policy on campus. If you are signed up for On-Campus learning but are choosing to keep your children home for the day, please call-in so that we know your students will be working from home. In addition, parents choosing to move their students online for longer periods of time should contact the school to make arrangements.
Nut Policy Reminder
Please remember we are a strict, nut-free campus here at San Tan Charter School. All of our catered hot lunches and snacks on campus are nut free, so please be careful not to unintentionally pack any of these items for your students or to bring them on campus for snacks.
NO PDA
San Tan Charter School does not allow for any form of public displays of affection, or PDA on campus. This includes hand holding, hugging, kissing or showing physical contact between couples. Consequences for PDA range from conferencing with students to contacting parents to suspension from school.
Dress Code
We are having new issues with students choosing to wear pajamas or bring blankets to school because of the change in weather. Although comfortable and appropriate at home, sleepwear is not an acceptable choice for school. Please remind your students to leave pajamas and blankets for the coziness of home.
