Hello Power Campus!
Welcome to the last week of quarter 3. As we move into the last few days before Spring Break, we have our Winter Sports awards tonight on campus and parent-teacher conferences this Thursday and Friday. The offices will move to Spring Break office hours of 9am – 3pm starting Monday, March 13, and offices will be closed all day on Friday, March 17 and Monday, March 20. Normal office hours resume on the first day we return from Spring Break, Monday, March 27.
My hope is that everyone will get a restful two weeks of Spring Break in preparation for a strong finish to an already fantastic school year academically at San Tan Charter.
As we return from break, we move full-steam ahead into Arizona State Testing! This year we have planned for some exciting incentives for students including the culinary department helping with meals and offering grades incentives to those meeting standards on the tests! To help support all students, the school also invested in purchasing an additional Mathematics resources in the ALEKS program! ALEKS works in conjunction with our current English curriculum in that it is able to tailor-meet students’ needs based on individual mastery of content. This level of targeted instruction has also been used at the college and university levels to assist in learning.

Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences
It’s not too late to sign up for parent-teacher conferences!
Conferences are organized in 90-minute blocks with the average conference time lasting 10 minutes. Please select the time block that is most convenient for your family and select the teachers you would like to conference with before selecting “submit”.
Families will meet in the student union during their scheduled time block and wait for their teacher(s) to come and meet them for their appointment. This format allows families to move through all conferences with the least amount of wait time.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Food Donations
Our Spring Late-night Parent Teacher Conference is Thursday March 9th. Thank you to those who have donated food for our teacher dinner! Our teachers and staff will be here all day and into the evening and, as always, love and appreciate your kindness and amazing dinners. The theme this time around is “Picnic Dinner”. Please help us in providing meals and desserts (that no not require the use of an oven) and deliver all items by Thursday, March 9th at 3:30pm to the Power Campus Front Office.

Enrollment Information
We are at 93% capacity and counting! If you have not yet re-registered, please make sure to get in before we reach capacity! In planning for staffing for next school year, we need to know an accurate count of our students attending. Our registrar, Ms. Gray is available to take your call, 7:30am – 4:30pm M-F, if you need assistance.
REMINDER: This year all students can be re-enrolled online.
While phone apps are convenient for most things – we recommend using a computer to complete your re-enrollment at San Tan Charter.

Winter Sports Awards
Thank you to all the students and parents for their hard work and dedication this Winter sports season. This was one of our most successful Winter seasons as we had 100 students participate in our sports programs. As we close out our Winter season, you are invited to our March 7 awards night.
The Awards will be held at 5:30pm in the Main Gym. Doors open at 5:00pm. Hope to see you there!

- Junior High and High School Culinary Arts: Restaurant quality cutlery, pots/pans, additional shelving, and supplies for the classroom

- Playground Equipment
In addition, our Montessori Preschool School gives out around $45,000.00 a year in scholarship to those families in need, we are able to offer these scholarships because of the Arizona School tax credit program. The best part is whatever you contribute, you will receive dollar for dollar back on your state taxes. So, if you give $100, you can deduct that $100 off what you owe in taxes. You do not have to have a child at the school to pledge, you must only be an AZ State resident paying AZ State taxes.
