Hello Power Campus!
Welcome to the last week of April. May begins our end-of-the-year celebration season and we start things off with Teacher’s Appreciation next week, May 3-7, followed by our high school Prom May 8, the annual STCS Academic & Athletics Awards on Saturday, May 15, and finally our 8th grade and Senior Graduation on Thursday, May 19!
Prom tickets sales are on the rise and Student Council has been selling tickets at lunch time. Prom is May 8 at Arizona Golf Resort. The Power Campus has re-taken the lead in the paper drive and the deadline for donations is May 7! Ms. Kovach and Ms. Warren are currently leading the pack. The winning classroom teacher gets a $100 gift certificate.
Boys varsity volleyball senior night will be Thursday, May 6th. The game starts at 5:30pm. We will have a special guest in attendance, our new Athletic Director Shawn Lytle, who will stay after the event for a meet and greet with any interested parents wanting to hear more about the future of the athletics programs on campus.

- Our annual gifted information night will be virtual this year, please mark your calendars and RSVP if you are interested in attending and learning about your gifted children and our K-12 gifted program. San Tan is offering a Gifted Information Night to help answer your questions and to help prepare you for next year. During this meeting, we will introduce you to our teachers, our self-contained gifted model, as well as introduce you to the services offered at the middle school and high school level. Additionally, we will offer an overview of the different enrichment programs available and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
- The Gifted Information Night is targeted towards those entering the gifted program and those who wish to learn more about San Tan’s Gifted Program. We would like to take a moment to welcome our new additions to San Tan’s Gifted Program! We understand that you may have many questions about our program and what ‘gifted’ really means.
Lockdown Practice
This Thursday, April 29 the Power and Recker campuses will be performing a practice lockdown procedure. Please be aware that students will be asked to perform this procedure in case of emergency.

JH Girls Basketball Playoffs
Our JH Girls Basketball team is heading to the playoffs! #5-ranked San Tan Charter will face the #4 seed Paradise Honors Middle School on Friday, April 30th at Pan America Charter School. The start time is 5:30pm and the address is 8305 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85037. Tickets for admission are $5 for adults and $2 for students. Congratulations coach Warren on a great season and good luck in the tournament!
JH Swim State Championships

Meet the New AP/Athletic Director, Shawn Lytle May 6
Join us on May 6th after the boys volleyball senior night event in the gym as Mr. Shawn Lytle will be in attendance to share with our families a brief history of his experience being a small-schools athletic administrator and the vision we share of our athletics department moving forward. He will address all levels of our programming and will stay afterwards to meet individual families!
