Hello Power Campus!

We are in single digits with just 8 days remaining in the school year.

Tomorrow is a big night on campus with our Academic Awards night and Spring Sports Awards ceremony. Both events will be in the main gym.

Today ended our spring MAP testing. Initial results are not yet complete, but early data showed 74% of our students met our percentage met goal in reading and over 64% met in mathematics.  I will share our final results, once all data is compiled.

Power Campus Student Council Elections 2023-24 School Year

Campaigns are now underway and nominees’ speeches will be given this Thursday at the 7th period pep assembly. Final voting will happen next Friday.

Academic/Spring Sports Awards Night – May 17

Join us for our end of the year academic and spring sports awards on May 17. We will be in the Power Main gym with the Recker Campus students kicking off the evening starting at 4:30pm, followed by the Power Campus awards at 6:00pm and finally the Spring Sports awards at 7pm.

 

This is a great opportunity to show your support for the hard work your students have put into their academics and schooling this year.

Senior Breakfast

Help us celebrate the Class of 2023 at our “San Tan Senior Breakfast”.  As a way to bid farewell to our seniors and their families, we want to let them know one last time that they are and will always will be Roadrunners.

The event will take place at the Power Campus on May 26th.  Breakfast will be served at 9:30am (seniors first, of course) and is open to the entire campus and families.  In order to ensure the event’s success, we are requesting your support in the form of food donations.

Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up.   We ask that all donations be received no later than May 23rd.  This will allow the culinary program to inventory the ingredients and, if needed, have the school make the necessary purchases.

Sports Summer Camps

End of the Year Parent-Teacher Conferences

Sign-up today! Conferences are organized in 90-minute blocks with the average conference time lasting 10 minutes. Please select the time block that is most convenient for your family and select the teachers you would like to conference with before selecting “submit”.

Families will meet in the student union during their scheduled time block and wait for their teacher(s) to come and meet them for their appointment. This format allows families to move through all conferences with the least amount of wait time.

If you have not signed up already, time to sign up for electives! Electives are on a first-come, first-served basis, so remind your students to sign up today!

  • When you are ready, log into Infinite Campus to make your selections.
  • Choose 3 favorites and 3 alternates.

It’s never too early to be prepared! San Tan is kicking off its annual back-to-school fundraiser that will save you money while making your life easier!  Pre-order your child’s school supplies now and they will magically arrive in your child’s classroom at the Meet the Teacher Night!

The fundraiser contains ALL personal and classroom supplies on the teacher’s supply list for next year.
**Fundraiser does not include reusable items, such as backpack, lunch box, Chromebooks, PE uniforms, calculators, and magazine subscriptions.

With your support, we can continue to provide the programs outlined below:

  • Junior High and High School Culinary Arts: Restaurant quality cutlery, pots/pans, additional shelving, and supplies for the classroom
  • Full-Day Kindergarten Scholarship
  • Funding for the Library/Media Space
  • Health Care Supplies
  • Playground Equipment

In addition, our Montessori Preschool School gives out around $45,000.00 a year in scholarship to those families in need, we are able to offer these scholarships because of the Arizona School tax credit program. The best part is whatever you contribute, you will receive dollar for dollar back on your state taxes. So, if you give $100, you can deduct that $100 off what you owe in taxes. You do not have to have a child at the school to pledge, you must only be an AZ State resident paying AZ State taxes.
